What AI Done

Terms of Use

Last updated: April 17, 2026

By using What AI Done, you agree to the following terms. These terms are intentionally short and written in plain language.

The service

What AI Done provides a free, browser-based tool to compare two versions of a document and highlight the differences word by word. The core diff feature is free and will remain free.

Optional features — AI-powered analysis of the diff, and a developer API — may require payment or are subject to usage limits.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to compare documents you do not have the right to process
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits through automated requests or IP rotation
  • Use the API in ways that violate applicable law or third-party rights
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service infrastructure

Free AI analysis limit

Each IP address receives 3 free AI analysis requests per 24 hours. This limit exists to keep the service sustainable. Additional analyses can be unlocked by purchasing a credit pack. Credits are non-refundable once used.

API access

Developer API keys are issued without requiring an account. Free tier keys include 50 requests per month. Paid credit packs are available for higher volume. API keys may be deactivated if they are used abusively.

The API may not be used to process personal data of third parties without their consent, or to build competing services that resell the output without attribution.

No warranty

What AI Done is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. The diff algorithm is accurate for the vast majority of use cases, but we make no guarantee that every change will be detected or correctly classified. Always review important documents yourself.

We are not responsible for decisions made based on the diff output, including but not limited to accepting or rejecting AI-generated changes in legal, medical, or financial documents.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, What AI Done and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the service.

Intellectual property

The What AI Done software, branding, and visual design are protected by copyright. The diff algorithm is built on open-source foundations (Myers algorithm, npm diff package) used under their respective licenses.

You retain all rights to the documents you compare. We claim no ownership over your content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or applicable law. Material changes will be announced by updating the date above. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
